Behavioral Health Nurse Retires after 47 Years

Congratulations Wendy Foster, RN, on a well-deserved retirement!

Wendy said goodbye to CHI St. Vincent Infirmary after 47 years of being a behavioral health nurse.

Coworkers celebrated her time at the hospital with cake and “There’s No Place Like Retirement” Wizard of Oz theme.

“Wendy mentored me when I was a new nurse to SVI Psych.  She took me under her wing and welcomed me.  She taught me and others a lot.  She realizes that in order to have great nurses you have to live it and teach it. The patients adored her and we all will feel her absence,” Sheria Thompson, Nurse Manager, said.
