Patient Transporter Honored for Going Above and Beyond

Congratulations to Thaddeus Dumas, patient transporter at the Infirmary, on receiving the Patient’s Choice Award! Thaddeus was recognized after a patient’s family called out his helpful spirit in a post-visit survey. Here’s what they had to say:

“In about a second’s span, I heard the tech answer the call light and say ‘You need to be pulled up? I will go find some help and be there in a minute.’ Thaddeus had just delivered a patient and was signing them in, and he heard her and without hesitation offered to help her … and he DID! He did not have to do that, but I truly appreciate the fact that he jumped in and offered assistance like that. It shows true integrity.”
