Spirit of Comfort in Hot Springs RN Honored with DAISY Award

Congratulations to Bre Jones, RN at Hot Springs, on being recognized with the DAISY Award! Bre was honored after a patient’s family credited her with bringing calm and comfort to them during one of the most stressful moments of their lives. Here’s what the family had to say:

“I would like to nominate this nurse for the DAISY Award because she truly went above and beyond in caring for my mom during her stay … From the very beginning, she showed genuine kindness, patience, and compassion that made such a difference in a very stressful time for our family. What stood out most was how attentive she was. She didn’t wait to be asked — she regularly came in to check on my mom, making sure she was comfortable, safe, and cared for. Her presence alone brought a sense of calm and reassurance. It meant so much to see someone who cared not just about the job, but about the person in the bed. She treated my mom with dignity, spoke to her with warmth, and made her feel seen and valued. In moments when my mom was hurting from chemo/radiation pain, this nurse became a steady source of comfort and support. That kind of care goes far beyond expectations — it reflects the heart of nursing. I truly believe she represents everything the DAISY Award stands for. She made a lasting impact on my mom, and we will always remember the kindness she showed during a very difficult time.”
