Morrilton Service Hero Recognized for Quick Clinical Support
We’re proud to announce that Ty Hunt, Facilities Supervisor in Morrilton, has been recognized as a CHI St. Vincent Service Hero! Normally, we’d be singing Ty’s praises for his excellent work keeping our Morrilton hospital operating at peak efficiency, but this honor has been given for the way he stepped up to help out our clinical teams. Here’s what his nomination had to say:
“Friday we had a patient come in that was an overdose, the ED was very busy that morning and we ended up having to intubate this patient. While we were busy with the patient, their temp increased and we needed to ice him down. Ty ran and got ice for us and helped bag it so we could cool the patient down. Once that was completed, Ty assisted in answering calls, helping the triage nurse get patients back into rooms and push patients out as well. Once we started to get ahead, Ty was cleaning rooms and getting them flipped and ready for the next patient. We all greatly appreciate the help that Ty gave us and the teamwork he offered. Ty was a great help and we are so thankful to have him at Morrilton.”
This is the kind of attitude that makes CHI St. Vincent stand out. Ty, thank you so much for coming to the plate when we needed you the most. Your work helped ensure our clinicians could take care of their patients without having to leave the bedside for other important tasks.
