Hot Springs FNS Coworker Named Service Hero
Congratulations to Nina Fry, Food and Nutrition Services in Hot Springs, on being named a CHI St. Vincent Service Hero! Nina was honored after a patient’s family member let us know how helpful she was in fixing a glitch in the ticketing system that was impacting their stay. Here’s the nomination:
“My husband needed soup at lunch and dinner because his throat/mouth was too dry, and it took several days (late added requests) to figure out why that soup did not come on the tray. This person [Nina] researched that problem and discovered that the ticket order was cut off so that no one could see the soup order. She conveyed that message and soup was on schedule for the lunch and dinner tray from that point on. For someone who has low protein, that soup was important to wash down protein packets and tasted better than a cold drink all the time. I appreciate this so very much.”
It may seem like a simple thing, but sometimes it’s those small moments that make the biggest difference on our patients. Thank you, Nina, for taking the extra time to make sure a patient had their needs met! Don’t forget, you can nominate a coworker who has gone above and beyond for a CHI St. Vincent Service Hero honor, too! Just click this link and fill out the form to let us know about them.
