North RN Honored With DAISY Award

A special congratulations to Hunter Jenkins, RN, of the North campus on being recognized with a DAISY Award! Hunter was nominated by one of her patients in the ED who, like many patients, was feeling a lot of anxiety about being there. Hunter’s evident compassion and calm expertise put the patient right at ease:

“I would like to start out by saying I have never filled out one of these DAISY Awards before, but there was a different type of peace in my soul and heart when this nurse was in the room beside me. There was no one else in the room with me, but instead of there being an empty feeling, I had hope, joy, peace, good spirit within. With this nurse’s humbleness, calmness, and professional aura I felt very much completed, and I had to tell them unknown “You are good at what you do.” Words cannot explain how divine of a person, women nurturer, that this nurse possesses … I will always remember this nurse!”

Thank you, Hunter, for leaving a lasting impression of compassionate care! Remember, nominations for the DAISY Award can come from anybody, including coworkers! To nominate a coworker, click this link and fill out the form.
