Paro Wins October Shining S.T.A.R. Award

IMG_0681Patient Care Technician Ginger Paro has been named the winner of the October Shining  S.T.A.R. Award.

Paro, who works on 5 East was credited with inspiring others, being an excellent team player, showing compassion and taking care of the entire patient. The award is presented to a non-licensed nursing care team member who goes above and beyond the call of duty and is the kid of person that our patients, their families and our staff recognize as an outstanding role model.

Paro was nominated by Donna Spargo, RN PCC. In her nomination letter, she wrote: “Ginger goes above and beyond to make sure all of the patients and the staff are taken care of. One day, there was a mix up with the schedule and the night shift was without a PCT. Ginger jumped right in and volunteered to stay over until help could be found. She continued providing high quality care for the patients and assured the staff that everything would be OK. She is a vital part of the team on 5 East. Her excellent attitude and work ethic make her very deserving of this award.”

S.T.A.R. stands for Superior Teamwork Achieved by Relationships. The award is presented quarterly. For more information, contact the Human Resources Training Coordinator at 501-552-3672.
