Pets of St. Vincent – Chaka

The first Pet of St. Vincent in 2026 is officially here! We’re featuring a lovely pup who overcomes his disability to bring joy to others every day. Meet Chaka, a long-haired Chihuahua belonging to Natalie Cloud, BSN, RN, VA-BC, in Hot Springs!

Chaka is totally blind in his one eye (he is missing the other). He has belonged to Natalie’s husband since before they met, but once they were married, Chaka became Natalie’s baby. Natalie says Chaka was her husband’s father’s dog before he passed away in 2012, and Chaka really helped her husband process the emotions of losing a parent. Chaka is a little cuddle bug during all hours of the day and loves sleeping next to Natalie every night.
