The purpose of the Social Determinants of Health (SDOH) education is to provide healthcare professionals with the five domains of SDOH, to discuss how SDOH affect the well-being and the quality of patient’s lives, and to educate healthcare professionals on addressing the SDOH to improve the health, well-being and quality of life for patients in our community.
Michael Millard, Market Director of Mission Integration and Ethics Chair, will be the presenter. Millard earned his M.Div. from Nashotah House Theological Seminary and has earned a certification in healthcare ethics consulting from the American Society of Bioethics and Humanities.
In order to obtain the nursing contact hour you must attend the entire program and complete the evaluation. No relevant financial relationships were identified for any member of the planning committee or any presenter/author of the program content. CHI St. Vincent is approved as a provider of nursing continuing professional development by the Midwest Multistate Division, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.
