Saprina Harvey Honored With First Patient’s Choice Award

Congratulations to Saprina Harvey, food and nutrition services at the Infirmary, on receiving the inaugural Patient’s Choice Award! This is a new award that is part of CHI St. Vincent’s patient experience campaign. The nominations come from surveys sent to patients by Press Ganey. We believe these are some of the most authentic, unprompted praises from patients and their families who were truly impacted by our coworkers.

Saprina received the first Patient’s Choice Award after a review from a patient’s spouse (scroll down to see Saprina’s reaction). Here’s what they had to say:

“The first few days I went to eat, Saprina’s sweet smile and compassionate spirit really helped me. Then during the winter storm, every time I came to get food, she was there being friendly and encouraging. It was hard being alone with my husband after his heart surgery, but she made me feel like I had a friend. I came back from getting food each time with a smile. Saprina’s Christian love just shines through naturally. It really means a lot to me that she goes the extra mile with others, even when she doesn’t realize she is doing anything special.”

Congratulations, Saprina, and thank you for sharing your contagious joy and loving spirit with our patients and their family! It truly makes a difference.
