Shawna Andrews Named Morrilton Service Hero

We never know what enormous impacts seemingly small gestures can have on our patients. Shawna Andrews, RN in the ED, was named Service Hero in Morrilton for displaying the value of COMPASSION.

A patient came into the ED and was unexpectedly faced with the need to be transported to another facility. The patient was very reluctant to go and visibly upset because their dog was outside in the rain on a chain because it wasn’t expected to be so serious. Shawna showed compassion by getting the dog and keeping it for the night.  The patient was so relieved. It made all the difference in the world to them.
