Subway Leaving Infirmary Friday, New Deli Coming Soon

The cafeteria at the Infirmary will no longer feature a Subway location after Friday. The national sub sandwich chain is departing to open up space for a new permanent deli sandwich station in the cafeteria. The new station is expected to open in 6-8 weeks.

Renovation on the Subway area is expected to begin next week. When it’s completed, the new station will feature deli sandwiches with freshly sliced meat, wraps, salads and protein bowls. It will also offer homemade kettle chips, homemade soups and freshly baked cookies. In addition, this new station will include an employee discount, be eligible for payroll deduction, and will allow for a new expansion and new offerings from the existing Chick-fil-A kiosk.

While the renovation will take a couple of months, you won’t have to wait that long for your sandwich fix. The cafeteria will open a small deli sandwich area next to the pizza station while renovations are underway. That new sandwich station will be available Monday.
