Victoria Cathey was recognized as a Service Hero at the Infirmary for displaying the value of EXCELLENCE.
Victoria was nominated by a coworker after staying past her shift to help her coworkers and patients.
Victoria recognized the day shift was short-handed and didn’t have a patient care tech to hand out patient food trays and set up meals.
Although she had already completed a 12-hour night shift, Victoria stayed past her shift to hand out meal trays and set up meals for patients, ensuring that their food did not get cold.
“She displayed a true sense of compassion for our patients and her fellow coworkers in the unit. She is an excellent example of our core values at work.”
