Your Help is Needed in Blood Supply Shortages

As the summer months and holidays approach, anticipated challenges to our blood supply are expected to be unprecedented, but you can help by donating blood while “on the clock!”
After months of post-pandemic struggles, Our Blood Institute said their red blood cell supply is drifting into failure, and they’re entering a phase where it is possible blood will only be available while supplies last.
“We find ourselves facing a daunting and unprecedented challenge to our blood supply which will require the full support and partnership of our hospital partners, prehospital partners, community leaders, and organizations or we will be forced to make difficult decisions regarding allocation of products. This is something we have never done before but we are facing circumstances unlike we have ever experienced,” John Armitage, MD (OBI CEO) said.
There are several upcoming blood drives across our ministry.
