Bedside Shift Report Improves Patient Experience

Bedside Shift Report (BSR) has been shown to improve communication, patient safety and overall patient experience.

BSR was rolled out in Hot Springs a couple of years ago through the Good to Great program. Although the original feedback and results were encouraging, the Hot Springs patients and families saw potential for additional improvement.

In addition to traditional shift to shift BSR, patients and families asked for better communication during transfers between units. The nurses listened and responded with the implementation of unit to unit BSR. Click here and watch the video to learn more!
