Infirmary Nurse Achieves CCRN Specialty Certification

Special congratulations are in order for Heath Lafavers, Nurse Manager on 5W at the Infirmary, on achieving his Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) certification! Heath is the first Infirmary nurse in 2026 to reach this clinical education goal.

The CCRN designation is a specialty certification from the American Association of Critical Care Nurses. It shows that a nurse has achieved a significant level of knowledge and experience working with critical patients, and recognizes the nurse’s commitment to accelerating the nursing field and maintaining a level of excellence in your nursing practice.

Participants in the Infirmary’s clinical education courses have been challenged to “conquer their mountain” and reach their goal of obtaining new certification or training. Heath is the first this year to conquer his mountain and plant his flag on the summit. Congratulations, Heath!
