Calming Presence Recognized with DAISY Award for North RN

We’re proud to announce that McKenzi Wilkins, RN at North, has received the DAISY Award! McKenzi was recognized for her care of a post-surgical patient with an altered mental state. Here’s what the family had to say:

“McKenzi has been so kind and helpful. During this difficult time, her grace and gentleness during the time my husband was confused after surgery has given our family peace. An example of her going above and beyond is while she was pushing a medication through his IV that caused terrible burning, McKenzi stopped half way through just to make an ice pack to help provide as much comfort as possible to him. When he started getting combative, she was quick to get more meds on board to get him calmed down. So much care and compassion.”

McKenzi, congratulations on this well-deserved honor! Thank you for the love and tenderness you show your patients every day.
