CHI St. Vincent Teams Up with Hot Springs Village Golfers to “Crush Cancer”
When someone is battling cancer, it takes a village to get through the entire process. Hot Springs Village heard the call and took on the challenge of raising money to “Crush Cancer!”
The Hot Springs Village Women’s Golf Association teamed up with CHI St. Vincent Hot Springs Cancer Center to host an 18-hole Crush Cancer Tournament on May 16. They had a goal to raise $6,000 and raised $8,342 for cancer research!
There were 84 players in the tournament and several generous donors. Along with the tournament there was a silent auction, 39 vendors and businesses and a 50/50 raffle.
“I think every one of us knows someone who is affected by this terrible disease, but it truly does take a village to try to fight it,” said Jennifer Joyce, Crush Cancer committee.
