Chrysoloite Poyanon Recognized with Hot Springs DAISY Award

Chrysoloite Poyanon, RN, was recognized with a Hot Springs DAISY Award for the kindness she showed to a patient.

Chrysoloite works in the Med Surg unit. They have a patient who is regularly admitted for care. During a recent hospital stay, the amount of antibiotics the patient required were making her sick.

Chrysoloite recognized she had lost weight and brought her an Oreo lasagna. When the patient was asked about this, she became tearful because she is so thankful for the care and kindness she receives in our hospital.

I am proud to have someone like this nurse on my team knowing our patients are cared for in this manner.

The DAISY Award was established by the DAISY Foundation in memory of J. Patrick Barnes who died at 33 of ITP, an auto-immune disease. The Barnes Family was awestruck by the clinical skills, caring and compassion of the nurses who cared for Patrick, so they created the national award to thank nurses everywhere.
