Community Outreach Makes Donation to AIDS Resource Center

Money is tight this holiday season and CHI St. Vincent Community Outreach/Mission donated $1,000 to the Tuggle and Shelby Clinic in Hot Springs.

This money will go toward funding for food for families in need during the holidays as well as crisis funding.

This clinic began as the Hot Springs AIDS Resource Center and Clinic and was renamed The Cecil A. Tuggle Clinic, for Dr. Tuggle’s compassion, leadership, and commitment to providing care more than 25 years ago.

Mike Melancon was named Executive Director of the clinic and is still managing the clinic today to provide HIV care, opioid addiction, primary care, and street outreach to those in need.

Recently, Mandy Davis, CHI St. Vincent Community Outreach Director, and Pam Keck, CHI St. Vincent RN, volunteered alongside Dr. Kim Hill and Dr. Shelby, one of the clinic founders.

“They provided free compassionate personal care to each patient that came through the door. I was honored to be part of their work for the day. Bravo to CHI St. Vincent Hot Springs leadership for their continued support of this vital community clinic,” said Davis.
