Coworkers Earn Nursing Excellence Scholarships
We strive to be the best we can be, both personally and as an organization. A big part of that, for many of us, is continuing our education. Some of us can run into obstacles on our path toward this goal, whether it be lack of time or available finances. Well, thanks to the Nursing Excellence Scholarship Fund honoring Dr. John C. Jones and Judy Johnson, RN; and to the Auxiliary Nursing Excellence Scholarship Endowment, one of those obstacles has been removed for several coworkers.
Thanks to your generous donations, The Nursing Excellence Scholarship Fund honoring Dr. John C. Jones and Judy Johnson, RN, was established to assist our nurses in advancing their education – debt free. This year, the fund’s growth enabled us to award three scholarships to coworkers (rather than just one as in years past). The 2018 recipients are:
Emmanuel Anigwe, Melissa Coffman and Alecia Gray. For more information on the recipients, click here.
The Infirmary auxiliary also awarded its first $10,000 Nursing Excellence Scholarship. Thanks to your generous donations and hard work, the Auxiliary Nursing Excellence Scholarship Endowment funded the first scholarship to assist an Infirmary coworker achieve an advanced nursing degree – debt-free. Diane Cooksey is the first recipient of the Infirmary Auxiliary
Nursing Excellence Scholarship and was awarded a $10,000 scholarship to complete her degree. for more information on Diane, click here.
Congratulations to all, and thank you for your continued pursuit of excellence.
