CVICU RN at Infirmary Honored as a Service Hero

We’re excited to share that Lexi Poole, RN, of the CVICU at the Infirmary has been named a CHI St. Vincent Service Hero! Lexi was honored after a patient’s family member was moved by her service to fill out a nomination form. Here’s a part of what the family member wrote:

“My husband was in CVICU after valve replacement surgery. Lexi met me in the waiting area and took me to see my husband for the first time after surgery. She was so informative and compassionate. She answered all of my questions and helped prepare me for his recovery. She also met me the morning after his first night and gave me a complete report. Two days later she stopped by to say hello and check on my husband, even though she wasn’t assigned to our room. She is an outstanding staff member who made our stay much less stressful.”

Thank you so much, Lexi, for making sure that both your patients and their families are taken care of. It takes a lot of the anxiety out of their hospital stay. Don’t forget, it isn’t only patients who can nominate for a Service Hero award. Coworkers can submit nominations as well! Click this link and fill out the form to tell us about a coworker you think deserves to be recognized.
