Donation of Unused Blankets Warms Hearts

Justin Jett,  CHESP -Director, EVS/Housekeeping-Crothall, with help from Deb Roybal, VP of Mission Integration, and our partners at Jericho Way turned a problem into an opportunity to help the community.

Justin had hundreds, maybe over 1,000 unused blankets taking up space that could be used more wisely. Knowing these blankets could benefit someone, Justin contacted Deb Roybal who pointed him toward our partners at Jericho Way – who, in turn, connected us with and organization called, The Van.

The Van is the mobile operation of The One, Inc., an incubator of homeless support service organizations who reach out directly to the individuals who need help. The One, Inc. also operates The Field, which grows and provides healthy food for our homeless neighbors. All are located in North Little Rock, but serve the Metropolitan Little Rock area.

The One, Inc. also helped start and build The Russ Buss in Russellville and the Mission Machine in Searcy, both of which have now spun off and operate as their own nonprofits in their respective communities.
