Dr. Alyssa Peters is a Hot Springs Service Hero

Congratulations Dr. Alyssa Peters for being named a Hot Springs service hero!

She was nominated by a coworker for her compassion and excellence.

Dr. Peters was the ICU doctor on call when a coworker’s cousin was transferred to the ICU.  This coworker’s cousin was 28 weeks pregnant and in need of prompt attention.  Dr. Peters intubated her and quickly arranged for her transport to another hospital. 

Upon arrival, the coworker’s cousin was in life-threatening condition and emergently cannulated for ECMO. Not only did Dr. Peters check on the patient everyday, she checked on the coworker, multiple times per day, for over a week. She even provided updates to the coworker’s cousin’s OBGYN.
