Ethel Tinsay Named Service Hero at Infirmary

Ethel Tinsay, an RN on 3N, was recognized as a Service Hero at the Infirmary for displaying the value of EXCELLENCE.

She was nominated by the parent of a patient, who was admitted to the Infirmary late at night after being transferred from North.

“My daughter has a very complex case. …After a very stressful evening, Ethel was our nurse on day shift.

“She showed compassion, concern and proper nursing skills. She informed us of everything she was doing and what labs were and what doctors were doing without us asking. She was a very welcomed relief after such a bad night.”

“We had her three days in a row and were always relieved to get her. She deserves recognition for the excellent care she showed to us in a very stressful time.”
