Hot Springs Receives Gold Seal of Approval from The Joint Commission for Advanced Total Hip and Total Knee Replacement
Congratulations to CHI St. Vincent Hot Springs for once again receiving the Gold Seal of Approval for Advanced Total Hip and Total Knee Replacement by The Joint Commission.
The certification, in collaboration with the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, focuses on the pre-surgical orthopedic consultation to the intraoperative, hospitalization admission, rehabilitation activities and follow-up visit with the orthopedic surgeon.
The Gold Seal is a symbol of quality that reflects a health care organization’s commitment to providing safe and quality patient care.
In order to receive this award, CHI St. Vincent Hot Springs underwent an unannounced onsite review in which a team of Joint Commission reviewers evaluated performance standards such as safety, education, patient rights and a plan for emergency situations.
“As a heath care accreditor, The Joint Commission works with health care organizations across settings to help improve patient safety and quality of care through our expert resources and tools, innovative solutions and rigorous standards,” says Deborah Ryan, MS, RN, interim executive vice president, Accreditation and Certification Operations, The Joint Commission. “We commend CHI St. Vincent for its commitment to advance safety and quality for all patients.”
