Hot Springs RN Recognized for Overnight Care of Patient and Family

Congratulations to Thomas Nichols, RN, on 5E at Hot Springs on being named a CHI St. Vincent Service Hero! We recognized Thomas after a nomination came in from a family member of a patient who said Thomas went above and beyond in his patient care. Here’s the nomination:

“Thomas is my mother’s night nurse. He instantly gave her confidence. His display of dignity and respect made all the difference when changing her into a hospital gown. He also spoke to his coworker about being respectful of her dignity. He assured me as a family member, and told me the value of family as he moved chairs to help me get comfortable staying for the night. He made a huge impact for our first night in the hospital. Thank you Thomas for your care and extra effort – it made all the difference.”
