Pets of St. Vincent – Pepper Dog Hopkins

Our Pet of St. Vincent this week is a tiny pup who is capable of a big attitude. This is Pepper Dog Hopkins, a papillon belonging to Brandy Hopkins, Pharm.D, BCCP, medication safety officer and pharmacy resident program director at the Infirmary!

Pepper came to live with Brandy’s family in 2020 in the height of COVID after their family dog, Ginger, passed away. Brandy’s kids were no longer babies, so Pepper became the tiny newborn baby the family needed. She loves to be held (but only by momma), and we have heard from reliable sources that Pepper Dog is the best four-pound guard dog that ever lived. Her favorite thing to do is hide under the couch when it’s time to go to bed so that everyone has to stop what they are doing and coax her to come back out.

Thank you to Brandy for sharing Pepper Dog Hopkins with all of us!
