Hot Springs Volunteer Shows Humankindness to Patient

Congratulations Stephanie Hicklin, Hot Springs Volunteer, for being named a Service Hero!

Stephanie was nominated for the award by a patient.

The patient said they were in distress after walking from the parking lot to the hospital. Stephanie greeted them and immediately noticed their condition.

According to the patient, Stephanie insisted on seating the patient in a wheelchair and took them to their destination.

Once at the office, Stephanie told the staff to notify her whenever the patient’s appointment was over and she would come back and get them.

After the appointment, Stephanie kept her promise!

“She came for me, as promised, and personally wheeled me out to my car.  She really went out of her way to be kind to me and to show me compassion.”
