Humankindness Across America, Session 3: Social Justice and Race-based Health Disparities

The last several months have identified what we, as the nation’s largest nonprofit health system, already knew: health inequity plagues the communities we serve.

COVID-19 is showing us this reality through the disproportionate amount of minorities who have been infected and hospitalized with COVID-19. Additionally, we have seen what the fear of COVID has done for these communities as so many people delay important, life-saving treatment to avoid being in a care environment.

As a ministry, we must do more to protect the lives of those we serve. How do we do this? How do we address the racial injustice that is systemically woven throughout our society? Let’s talk about it.

Join a conversation with Lloyd Dean to learn more how these disparities are impacting our communities and how CommonSpirit Health will be advocating for social injustice and health equity in America.
