Infirmary Food Team Receives National Award

The Infirmary Food and Nutrition Team won Silver for this year’s 2017 Spirit of Sodexo Award. The team earned recognition for adherence to Sodexo’s core value of “Spirit of Progress.” The Food and Nutrition team has worked tirelessly these past several years to enhance the patient experience through the use of Sodexo tools to create a process improvement culture resulting in positive outcomes: faster service, increasing patient food satisfaction scores, reduced employee turnover rate and better employee engagement.

This recognition places the Infirmary team as one of the top two performing hospital teams in the United States for Spirit of Progress for this year and as one of the top 23 teams overall, including hospitals, universities, business accounts, and others throughout the United States and Canada.

Sodexo recognizes the highest performing teams each year that best exemplify company core values of Team Spirit, Service Spirit, and Spirit of Progress. 932 individuals were nominated for this year’s prize, the Infirmary Team was also awarded top honors among healthcare teams in the Western United States.

The team is also grateful to enjoy abundant support from the CHI St. Vincent leadership team, truly the best hospital in Arkansas.
