Jason Gill Recognized as DAISY Award Winner

Congratulations Jason Gill, RN, CHI St. Vincent North, for being chosen as the January 2023 DAISY Award winner!

Jason is an internal contract nurse for North. He was actually nominated twice this month! Once by coworker and once by a patient!

A coworker who nominated him said Jason brought honey buns and hand fed them to a difficult patient every morning just to lift the patient’s spirit. The patient had a difficult diagnosis and family was unable to help the patient. He spent several hours trying to connect the patient to his family members by phone.

A patient described Jason as being “on top of his game” his entire time as their nurse. Jason was personable, but professional. He also made an effort to relate to the patient’s needs as well as educate them and answer their questions.

“Jason is an excellent nurse who goes above and beyond for all his patients. He is a prime example of the care and compassion that should be in the St. Vincent name.”
