What Rochelle says about working at the Infirmary in Little Rock: “I really appreciate the OR supervisors and how much they take care of their team. I appreciate the seriousness of patient care and also the fun that my team and I have that makes for a pleasant day. And of course I love wearing my cute scrub hats!” (Read more below.)

More from Rochelle LaFoon:
“The OR is my passion and first love in healthcare. My interest in the OR began in 2005 as a surgical tech in the Air Force. A deployment to Afghanistan in 2009 and my first trauma patient inspired me to go into nursing. I love so many things about surgery I don’t even know where to start! I love being able to use what God has blessed me with to care for my patients and my team. I love the teamwork and the fast paced environment. I love that I am always challenged to critically think and do what is right for my patients. There is always something to learn no matter how much experience you have. I have had so many experiences that still motivate me to be a better nurse. I learn something new everyday! I love knowing that everyone on my team is making a difference for our patients. I can truly appreciate all the hard work that goes into making this OR run. I work with an amazing team of individuals from different backgrounds, roles, and experiences. I enjoy working with other individuals from different units in the hospital anywhere from Xray, the Lab, PreOp, PACU and beyond. I enjoy the time I have with the patients family prior to surgery and keeping them updated throughout the case. I really appreciate the OR supervisors and how much they take care of their team. Surgery has always intrigued me. I appreciate the seriousness of patient care and also the fun that my team and I have that makes for a pleasant day. And of course I love wearing my cute scrub hats!”
