Mclain Compassionate Care Partner Award Winner for December

Phlebotomist Sean Mclain is the winner of the December 2015 Compassionate Care Partner Award at CHI St. Vincent.

This award recognizes a deserving recipient from an ancillary department who demonstrates these qualities: goes above and beyond their normal duties, inspires others in a positive manner, is an excellent team player, takes care of the entire patient with excellence, shows compassion to patients, families and colleagues, and consistently demonstrates our Core Values.

Here’s an excerpt from Sean’s nomination letter written by a patient:

“I have veins that roll and are hard to find because I have scar tissue. He does a great job. He is a nice, young man. He listens with his heart and is, above, all, his knowledge shows and his values are illustrated as well. He goes all out to help the patient. It was great to be taken care of by this person because he also made me laugh with his jokes.“
