Malone a Shining S.T.A.R. in December
Transporter Clark Malone has been named the winner of the December Shining S.T.A.R. Award at CHI St. Vincent.
The award is presented to a non-licensed nursing care team member who goes above and beyond the call of duty and is the kind of person that our patients, their families and our staff recognize as an outstanding role model.
Malone is known for his friendliness and smile as he walks the halls of CHI St. Vincent Infirmary. The following is an excerpt from his nomination letter:
“He is excellent team player who inspires others to go above and beyond his or her job requirements to provide excellent patient care in the same manner that he does. And as he travels within the walls of this hospital, he serves as a tour guide, making sure patients and their families know exactly where they are going and are as comfortable as possible. He communicates appropriately and openly with our guests, as well as members of the hospital staff, to ensure holistic patient care. His daily work illustrates our core values. Our days are brighter just because he is here at CHI St. Vincent with us. I cannot think of anyone more deserving of the Shining S.T.A.R. Award than the man who wears the biggest smile each day.”
S.T.A.R. stands for Superior Teamwork Achieved by Relationships. The award is presented quarterly. For more information, contact the Human Resources Training Coordinator at 501-552-3672.
