Morrilton Auxiliary Making Spirits Bright This Holiday Season

CHI St. Vincent Morrilton’s Auxiliary and volunteers recently held their annual Christmas luncheon hosted by the hospital.

Everyone dressed up in their favorite holiday attire to do a secret Santa gift exchange, Christmas word unscramble, bingo, and of course, lunch!

This celebration is after a year full of fundraising efforts.

The Volunteers/Auxiliary is a grassroots organization of mostly retired women and men who freely give their time to work on site and/or offsite doing fundraising projects.  Onsite work consists of 4 hour shifts greeting and escorting patients, running the gift shop, or monitoring the outpatient waiting room.  Money raised is used for small improvement projects.

They held three fundraising events in November. The yard sale turned a net profit of $500.  A week later, their simultaneous bake sale and silent auction, held in the cafeteria, netted an amazing $4031.00!

“We are all very grateful that the good Lord has given us the strength, time, talent and treasure that we so willing give for His glory,” said Steve Eddy, Respiratory Therapy.
