Morrilton Helps Fill the Truck

Morrilton helped “Fill the Truck” during Conway County Care Center’s annual “Harvest of Hope” food drive event. They donated cereal and oatmeal for the event that supports the care center’s mission: “No one in Conway County goes hungry.” The drive officially takes place on Saturday, October 20 at the Hayes Home Center (4 Davis Drive, near Kroger) in Morrilton from 9am – 5pm. Morrilton was challenged to collect 50 containers of oatmeal/cereal.

The center distributes 350 boxes of oatmeal and cereal per month on average. The center served over 3,600 households with over 9,200 people last year. The need for food and assistance in the Conway County area is at an all-time high. The Care Center’s food pantry is available to all residents of Conway County, regardless of income.
