Morrilton Security Guard Named Service Hero

Congratulations to Maurice Floyd, security guard at Morrilton, on being named a CHI St. Vincent Service Hero! Maurice was recognized for his willingness to do anything that was necessary to help a couple of patients in need. Here’s what his nomination had to say:

“I am an RN in the Emergency Department and work weekend option, where Maurice is the security guard on Friday and Saturday. He is always smiling and helpful with anything that we need. One day, there were two patients that had been seen during day shift and discharged, but were having difficulty getting someone to come pick them up. One of these patients was wheelchair bound and required assistance using the restroom. The men’s restroom needed some cleaning and trash pickup to make it easier for the patient to access. Maurice didn’t hesitate at all. He saw what needed to be done and did it. He cleaned and swept the restroom before leaving for his shift. Maurice went above and beyond by recognizing that something needed to be done and did it. I am so glad that Maurice is part of our team at Morrilton.”

Thank you so much, Maurice, for stepping in and helping however you could, even if it wasn’t part of your job. Your servant’s attitude makes all the difference for our patients.

If you know of a coworker who has gone above and beyond to help patients or teammates, nominate them for a Service Hero award! Click this link and fill out the form to tell us why they’re so deserving.
