New Policy Disables Password Saving Feature
A new CHI St. Vincent policy will disable the feature that allows passwords to be saved in Internet browsers. The change will take effect on Thursday, Nov. 30.
Internet Explorer and Google Chrome users will no longer be asked if they want to save their password. Along with this change, browser cache and saved passwords will be cleared.
The same will policy will be applied to Firefox once the new release is packaged and tested.
The policy is being implemented to help maintain the confidentiality of patient and coworker information.
The new policy will not change the way users login to computers.
