Nominations Open for Health Justice Awards
The Lloyd H. Dean Institute for Humankindness and Health Justice (LHDI) at CommonSpirit Health will hold its annual Health Humankindness and Health Justice Summit on September 8th.
At CommonSpirit, we believe that health justice starts with humankindness. LHDI will once again host the Humankindness and Health Justice Awards to celebrate individuals and partners in our communities who bring health justice and humankindness to life every day. At this summit, LHDI will recognize a standout employee that embodies the traits of an advocate for health justice as well as demonstrates humankindness in meaningful ways.
We are relying on our coworkers to nominate candidates for these awards. Here are some definitions to consider as you select a candidate to nominate:
- Health Justice: Health Justice is an organizational and operational framework for the achievement and delivery of health equity and social justice. The nominee will have demonstrated leadership that led to a change in policy, practice, or procedure that continues to drive sustainable impact.
- Humankindness: Acts of humanity + acts of kindness. The nominee will have clearly exhibited kindness, compassion, empathy, and/or trust in their pursuit of health justice.
If you would like to nominate a coworker, please click this link and fill out the nomination form. The nomination deadline is Monday, July 14, 2025. Award winners will be invited to virtually join the summit to accept their award. If you have any questions, please email [email protected].
