Nursery Alliance Good for Hot Springs, Best for Babies

Hot Springs joining the Nursery Alliance with Arkansas Children’s Hospital means better care for the infants in all of southwest Arkansas. The alliance allows hospitals and doctors to collaborate and share knowledge and information that enhances the care of infants throughout the state in a way that wasn’t possible previously. The alliance is currently made up of four member hospitals, Arkansas Children’s Hospital, CHI St. Vincent Hot Springs, Conway Regional Health System and Jefferson Regional Medical Center, and it continues to grow.

Dr. Zane Henley explains that this alliance is good for all the babies in the southwest part of the state, and good for Hot Springs,

“I think everyone has their own specific wish list and goals with this. Some of mine would be, overall, love to see the infant mortality rate in Arkansas drop. I think that’s everyone’s primary goal. For us specifically here, I would love to see that we’re transferring less babies. When we transfer a baby, that’s a mom, left in a room by herself without her baby.”

The Nursery Alliance is just another example of our dedication to providing excellent and compassionate care to the people of Arkansas.
