Pets of St. Vincent – Gen. Sterling Price
For this week’s Pet of St. Vincent, we’re introducing you to a highly distinguished senior cat. Meet Gen. Sterline Price, aka “The General,” owned by Gerri Ashley, Executive Assistant for Administration at the Infirmary!
The General started out life as a feral kitten hanging around the creek bed behind the Benton Utilities Water Treatment Plant where Gerri’s husband worked. Gerri says The General was very skittish at first, but Gerri’s husband gradually made friends with him and eventually brought him home. He was skittish of strangers, but he quickly made himself at home and made friends with Blue and Emmie Girl, Gerri’s two big dogs who have since crossed over the Rainbow Bridge.
The General is now around 12 years old and no longer the frisky young cat who loved to explore the big yard and get into trouble in the house. He now spends his days getting toted from one comfortable spot to the other and living his best life! And it’s so well deserved!
