Reichenbach Wins Babcock Service Award at North

heritagenorth2Brent Reichenbach has been named the 2015 Sister Teresa Joseph Babcock Service Excellence Award winner at CHI St. Vincent North.

Reichenbach is the Radiology Supervisor at CHI St. Vincent North.

The award is in honor of Sister Teresa Joseph Babcock, who was a member of the Sisters of Charity of Nazareth. Following a successful career in Catholic education, Sister Teresa Joseph was a significant presence at CHI St. Vincent Infirmary from 1967 to 1995. Continuing to utilize her teaching skills, she encouraged CHI St. Vincent co-workers to pursue education. She was known for her deep interest in other people and the compassion she constantly extended to all she met.

The Babcock Award is presented annually to a co-worker who exemplifies the spirit of hospitality that has always characterized the Sisters of Charity of Nazareth. This person fully embodies the Core Values of Reverence, Integrity, Compassion and Excellence and goes above and beyond the call of duty in carrying out their responsibilities.

An excerpt from his nomination letter:

“Brent portrays all the qualities listed in the criteria for this award. His spirit of hospitality is heard throughout the hallways as he greets and welcomes patients in our facility. He models our core values consistently, always puts the patient first no matter what the situation is. He “gets it,” he understands that departments have to work together to achieve excellence and he is a shining role model for his staff, as well as other departments. Just as Sister Babcock, he is always positive, smiling and has a gentle demeanor that is respected by all.”
