Shared Governance Holds Inaugural Summit
Shared Governance held its inaugural summit on February 27 at the Crowne Plaza in Little Rock. Clinical nurses and leaders from perioperative, procedural and women’s specialties were in attendance. The summit allows for shared governance specialty councils from all four hospitals to collaborate with a goal of improving and celebrating clinical practice. It consisted of celebrations, policy review and a keynote address from Deb Roybal, RN, MS, PhD, VP of Mission Integration, on human flourishing.
Tim Lambeth, BSN, RN and Tonya Baier, BSN, RN, CNML spoke on reducing SSI rates, and Lindsey Rodriquez, BSN, RN presented the AORN Go Clear program.
The next summit will focus on the medical/surgical specialty.
