Welcome Pharmacist Resident, Jamie Currier, PharmD, MBA!
Recruiting bright, young talent makes a team stronger. Well, our team just got stronger, thanks to our new Pharmacist Resident.
The pharmacy department at the Infirmary welcomed their first resident pharmacist earlier this month. Jamie received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology from Arkansas Tech University prior to attending Harding University where she graduated cum laude and obtained both her Masters of Business Administration (MBA) and Doctor of Pharmacy degrees. She matched to the CHI St. Vincent PGY1 (Post Graduate, Year One) Pharmacy Residency Program in March and began her residency here on July 2.
The pharmacy residency program is currently seeking accreditation by the American Society of Health Systems Pharmacists (ASHP) and will undergo an onsite survey early next year. Recruitment for this intensely clinical, one year program targets newly licensed pharmacists with the desire to become a well rounded pharmacy practitioner and future leader in pharmacy practice. Pharmacists completing the program will be clinically prepared for an advanced level of practice at a community-based hospital or eligible for specialty training through a PGY2 pharmacy residency.
Thanks for joining us Jamie! We’re glad to have you!
