Amanda Guspiel-Messinger Named Infection Prevention System Director

Amanda Guspiel-Messinger has joined the Quality Team as the Infection Prevention System Director.

Amanda has been in Infection Prevention for more than eight years. She most recently served as Regional Manager of Infection Prevention overseeing 350-, 80- and 25-bed hospitals. Prior to that, Amanda worked at an academic teaching facility, where she was the lead infection preventionist.  She also worked at the Minnesota Department of Health during the 2009 novel H1N1 pandemic and assisted hospitals with surge capacity, data collection and updating information from the CDC.

Amanda received her master’s degree in Public Health from the University  of Minnesota, focusing on environmental health and infectious disease epidemiology. She is board certified in infection control and has her FAPIC designation for outstanding contributions to the infection prevention field through publication, leadership, presenting innovative ideas and  mentoring.
