CHI St. Vincent Marks National Donate Life Month

CHI St. Vincent joined with Southern Legacy of Life (formerly ARORA) to kick off the beginning of National Donate Life Month with a pair of special ceremonies.

To start the commemoration, Joshua Irwin with Southern Legacy of Life led coworkers in a flag-raising celebration in front of the Infirmary. The flag bears the officials National Donate Life Month logo with the phrase “Donation Saves Lives.” It will fly in front of the Infirmary throughout the month of April.

Then attendees went to the second floor of the Infirmary to help dedicate a special Donor Memorial Wall. Led in prayer by Sister Mary Francis and including a message from a donor family member, the ceremony officially presented the new wall to the public. The Donor Memorial Wall will carry the names of all organ donors who give the gift of life at CHI St. Vincent.
