Amanda Sapp Named Service Hero at North

Amanda Sapp, a multi-modality technologist at North, was recognized as a Service Hero for displaying the value of COMPASSION.
During a routine mammo exam, Amanda listened to her patient who was concerned about her husband. The husband has Alzheimer’s but was not allowed to enter the hospital with his wife because of COVID-19 restrictions.
The patient said her husband was supposed to be waiting in their car in the parking lot. Amanda alerted her coworkers who attempted to search for him and discovered he had moved the cart to the front parking area. Although the team was concerned that he had been driving, no harm to him or the vehicle was discovered.
Amanda was nominated for saving a life and showing compassion to a patient by practicing STAR during her busy schedule.
