Do you see yourself as a role model for health and wellness within your department? If so, then apply to become a Well-being Ambassador!

Well-being Ambassadors promote Imagine Your Best Self programs and activities that encourage good health and improve the quality of life, while serving as a liaison between departments/facilities and the Well-being Champions Team. Increasing engagement can be done by expressing wellness opportunities to your departmental coworkers, sharing ideas for new opportunities, and being available for any questions coworkers may have concerning their participation in programs.

What You Would Do as a Well-being Ambassador
• Serve as a liaison between department/regional campus and the Well-being Champions Team.
• Promote CHI-sponsored wellness programs and activities that support good health and improve quality of life
• Distribute communications, resources or prizes to those participants in your area(s).
• Be a “champ” for wellness and catalyst for change
• Provide feedback to the Well-being Champions Team
• Support and endorse strategic health initiatives by personal participation
• Attend quarterly Well-being Ambassador meetings
• Support/Staff Well-being Wednesday event at your facility

You know you should be a Well-being Ambassador when you…
• Have enthusiasm for the role & the impact you will make
• Have the ability to tell your coworkers how easily they can earn their wellness dollars & participate in activities
• Have accessibility to e-mail
• Are willing to generate and share ideas

All Well-being Ambassadors must obtain supervisory support and approval to act in the volunteer role via an application process. Serving as an Ambassador should require no more than one hour of time per month. Well-being assignments are voluntary and any scheduling or work conflicts should be reviewed with your supervisor. Your application must be reviewed and approved by your supervisor.

A Well-being Ambassador is a representative that voluntarily serves as a liaison between the Well-being Champions Team and CHI St. Vincent coworkers. The goal is to engage our peers at the local level with wellness programs and initiatives. Potential Ambassadors must discuss this application with their immediate supervisor/manager to ensure managerial support of the role and the expected time commitment of no more than one hour per month.
