Celebrating Black History Throughout February
February is Black History Month, and we join together with others in our ministry to acknowledge, educate about and celebrate the struggles, resilience and contributions of Black Americans.
Learn more about Black History Month and use these resources throughout the month to celebrate the contributions of members of this community to our nation and health care ministry:
- View our Fact Sheet for background on the origins of Black History Month, demographic trends and health equity related to Chronic Kidney Disease.
- We have created Zoom virtual backgrounds to commemorate the month, which can be easily added — no download needed. Simply open Zoom, select the settings gear in the upper right corner and select Background and Filters. There you will find virtual backgrounds, including the Black History Month backgrounds and others provided by CommonSpirit Health. (Note: You may need to reboot your computer to see the latest virtual background additions.)
